Type: Contract
Location: Fully remote, with a preference for candidates in the Eastern or Central time zones
Compensation: $38.00/hr – $40.25/hr
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
Education: Practical experience is valued more than formal education
Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Autodesk CAD Trainer & Technical Support Specialist to take on an essential contract position. This role requires you to create customized training programs and offer expert technical support for Autodesk software, primarily focusing on Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault. The perfect candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Autodesk products, exemplary CAD skills, outstanding communication abilities, and a knack for delivering first-line technical support to CAD users.
Your responsibilities will include crafting training documentation, leading engaging training sessions, addressing technical questions, collaborating with engineering teams to identify CAD training requirements, managing user accounts, and conducting regular audits.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and update training materials for Autodesk software, particularly Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault
Facilitate interactive training sessions, both in-person and virtually, customized for individuals and groups
Provide personalized coaching and continuous CAD support
Deliver first-level technical assistance for issues related to Autodesk CAD software
Oversee CAD user accounts, including their creation and regular audits
Track trainee progress and offer constructive feedback
Stay updated on Autodesk software advancements and integrate relevant updates into training
Work alongside engineering and design teams to tailor training to their specific needs
Keep comprehensive records of training participation and outcomes
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Drafting, Design Technology, or a related field is preferred
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of practical experience with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault (Vault experience is a must)
Prior experience in CAD training or technical support roles is highly desirable
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to adapt training methodologies to diverse learning styles
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within a CAD context
Highly organized with exceptional time management abilities
Familiarity with virtual training platforms and presentation tools
A passion for teaching and fostering CAD proficiency in others
