Job Description
Join our dedicated bankruptcy legal team as a key support member, where you will play a critical role in preparing and managing various essential documents, including petitions, plans, motions, and pleadings. This position emphasizes clear communication and client interaction, ensuring that both clients and relevant parties like trustees and court staff stay informed and supported throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a strong rapport with clients through empathetic and professional communication, cultivating trust and credibility.
- meticulously review client documentation to prepare petitions for Attorney-Client assessment, making necessary amendments for final approval.
- Facilitate the processing and filing of finalized petitions following attorney approval.
- Provide clients with comprehensive instructions regarding 341 hearings and prepare essential documents for submission to the Trustee.
- Efficiently prepare and file various legal documents, including petitions, plans, motions, and amended schedules, using ECF systems.
- Keep clients informed about their payment options and plans.
- Oversee the management of reaffirmation agreements, working closely with clients and opposing counsel to ensure proper filing with the court.
- Prepare requested ad-hoc documents for the United States Trustee and perform additional duties as required.
- Notify clients about case discharges and other significant information related to case closure.

- Proven time management skills, with the capability to meet pressing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving prowess, enabling efficient task prioritization and delegation when necessary.
- Proficiency in Google Suite or similar software tools is required.
Educational Background and Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience within the bankruptcy field is essential.
- Familiarity with the Texas Western District is preferred.
Compensation for this role ranges from $55,000 to $70,000 annually, reflecting your valuable contributions to the team.
