The Behavioral Health Sleep Therapist (CBT-I) is an experienced mental health clinician who is knowledgeable of and competent in the treatment of a variety of sleep disorders. They work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary clinicians in the outpatient and community-based services as well as support staff of Nystrom & Associates, Ltd., in a collegial fashion. They meet the requirements to be considered a Mental Health Professional per state statute. This position will be based out of our Maplewood, MN location but will be 100% remote.

What You’ll Do:
- Designs and implements treatment/intervention reflective of identified patient needs, stated in terms of expected outcome, including strategy to achieve outcomes.
- Maintains EEHR patient records in accordance with policy requirements.
- Builds and maintains full-time caseload of which at least 50% will be behavioral health sleep medicine patients.
- Completes and bills documentation for sessions within 24 hours.
- Attends and participates in required clinical staff meetings including case and peer reviews per state standards.
- Responsible for timely completion of patient prior authorizations and other necessary insurance processing information.
- Follows policies and procedures of Nystrom & Associates and its affiliates.
- Responds to patient complaints in coordination with BHSM Director and/or Clinic Director.
- Consults with Behavioral Health Sleep Medicine Director on complex cases.
- Will make referrals to NAL Outpatient Clinicians (licensed & unlicensed therapists), psychiatric providers, community-based programs, Substance Use Disorder Program and any other NAL programs for mental health services.
- Supports and participates in the marketing of the clinic and/or behavioral health sleep medicine services.
What Your Qualifications Should Be:
- Licensed Mental Health Professional in Minnesota (LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LP)
- Master’s or doctoral degree in a behavioral health field
- Currently trained or willing to be trained in behavioral health sleep medicine.
- For unlicensed therapists: meet the requirements for a Clinical Trainee and be actively pursuing licensure in Minnesota
