In this role, you will:
- Conduct thorough assessments and create personalized treatment plans tailored to the needs of individuals with autism.
- Implement evidence-based behavioral strategies to effectively address challenging behaviors while promoting essential skill development.
- Provide ongoing guidance and mentorship to behavior technicians and team members, fostering their professional growth.
- Collaborate closely with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure the continuity and effective generalization of learned skills across different environments.
- Monitor each client’s progress meticulously and utilize data-driven insights to adapt treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation that reflects client progress and treatment objectives.
To excel in this position, you should possess:
- A robust background in working with individuals on the autism spectrum and related developmental challenges.
- A solid understanding of special education laws and best practices.
- Proficiency in applied behavior analysis techniques and principles.
- Familiarity with relevant medical terminology pertaining to autism and behavioral health.
- Experience in conducting diagnostic evaluations and analyzing assessment results.
- Strong communication skills to effectively connect with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage your caseload, schedules, and documentation responsibilities.
Essential qualifications include:
- Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- At least one year of experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities.
- A Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a closely related field.
