    Consult Red is looking for a Business Development Director who’s ready to dive into the fast-paced world of embedded software and hardware professional services. Our journey from a small group of innovators in Yorkshire to a global organisation, with our technology in over 30 million homes, is just the beginning. We’re pushing the boundaries in media and PayTV, and we need someone with the expertise, a strong network, and drive to help us expand even further.

    Who We Need:

    • Experienced in Embedded Solutions: You have a solid background in selling embedded software (and hardware) solutions, especially focusing on set-top boxes (STB) in the media and PayTV industries.
    • Networked in the Industry: Your contacts list is impressive, filled with key players in media and PayTV. You’re known for your ability to open doors and build relationships quickly.
    • A Proven Track Record: You’re known for winning new business and have the numbers to prove it, with significant billing history in the millions.
    • Driven and Passionate: You’re ambitious, eager, and passionate about technology. You’re motivated by challenges and driven to succeed.

    What You’ll Do:

    • You’ll be hunting for new opportunities, using your experience and contacts to identify and develop new business across the US and Canada.
    • Work closely with our teams to create compelling offers that meet the needs of our customers and stand out in the marketplace.
    • Pay close attention to details, especially when managing complex contracts and agreements. You know that the small things can make a big difference.
    • Be prepared to travel and meet clients face-to-face across teh US & Canada and potentially beyond to build strong relationships and close deals.

    Requirements

    1. Strong background in embedded software and hardware sales, with a focus on engineering-based solutions for the media and PayTV sectors.
    2. Well-connected within the media and PayTV industry, with a track record of quickly leveraging those connections to achieve results.
    3. History of securing new business and achieving high billing numbers.
    4. Driven, passionate, and ready to take on challenges.
