    What does this role entail?

    Your primary responsibility will involve driving sales of merchant services for a designated portfolio of small to medium-sized Elavon clients through telephone, email, and in-person interactions.

    In this position, you will closely report to the Head of UK SME Sales Bank Channel.

    Fitness & Probity:
    Please note that this role is categorized as a ‘controlled function’ under the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011.

    Key Responsibilities:
    You will focus on generating new business sales within a specific segment across the UK Business Market (Business Bank – SME). This entails effectively managing referred leads and self-sourced opportunities, offering Payment Services and Value Added Services (VAS), and striving to achieve new customer acquisition targets and revenue goals in alignment with our overarching business objectives.

    Technical Expertise Required:

    • Proven track record of exceeding targets in a business-to-business sales environment, particularly focused on new business acquisitions. Experience in the Acquiring market is preferred.
    • Comprehensive understanding of the skills necessary for effective sales strategies within the SME market, ideally supported by a recognized sales methodology.
    • Experience following a competency framework to enhance sales practices.
    • Skilled at developing and sustaining a network of valuable contacts across Elavon and external partners.
    • Familiarity with selling technology solutions is advantageous.
    • Possess commercial and financial acumen, particularly in negotiation contexts.
    • Strong communicator, adept in various forms of communication (verbal, written, non-verbal).
    • Collaborate effectively within a multinational team environment.
    • Adaptable to change and capable of maintaining effectiveness in dynamic environments while maintaining a broad perspective.

    Essential Qualifications:

    • At least 5 years of experience in B2B sales is required.
    • Experience in financial services is a plus.
