– Set up VPC networking, IAM, security groups, and foundational components
– Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools
Phase 2: Expansion into the U.S. Region:
– Design and implement a second production region in the U.S.
– Establish global load balancing, failover, and replication strategies
– Ensure compliance with data residency and latency regulations
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Design and implement secure, scalable infrastructure frameworks
– Construct CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for streamlined deployments
– Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for distributed environments
– Generate documentation and optionally provide handover training for internal teams
– Suggest optimizations for performance and cost-effectiveness
IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
We are looking for a highly skilled, delivery-oriented Senior DevOps Engineer who is:
– Self-driven and proactive, capable of owning projects with minimal guidance
– Outcomes-focused, targeting key milestones during the engagement
– Collaborative, comfortable working alongside development teams and stakeholders remotely
– Security-conscious and meticulous in their approach.
WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT THIS ROLE:
– Crafting and implementing globally scalable infrastructure solutions
– Collaborating with agile teams on ambitious modernization projects
– Promoting DevOps best practices and establishing robust foundations
– Making a tangible impact within a defined contract timeframe
CONTRACTOR CRITERIA:
Essential Experience:

– Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and cost optimization techniques
– Understanding of security controls and compliance requirements
Desirable Experience:
– Involvement in global infrastructure projects and multi-region application design
– Experience with CDN and edge delivery solutions (e.g., CloudFront, Akamai)
– Exposure to e-commerce or high-availability platforms
– Background in legacy system refactoring
– Familiarity with serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway)
