About the role
Primary responsibility for chasing the debts of the companies’ debtors along with building and maintaining relationships with customers. There will also be a requirement to assist in other finance duties when time permits.
Key responsibilities
Chasing customers for payment to ensure agreed payment terms are adhered too and collections targets are met.
Creating new customer accounts on sage prior to the account going live.
Completing credit checks on all new customer accounts and providing recommendations on credit limits to the finance team leader.
Accurately reconciling customer payments on sage upon receipt of payment
Dealing with customer queries until resolution in an accurate and timely manner.
Preparing monthly supplier payment schedules
Dealing with supplier queries in a prompt and timely manner.
Processing both supplier and customer invoices
Skills and experience
• Sage 50 experience and knowledge
• Excellent Oral and written communication skills
• Maintaining confidentiality and recognising the sensitivity of information
• Identifying and implementing ways of improving service provision and processes
• Making decisions by collaborating with the team
• Generating practical solutions to problems
• Persistence in finding a solution
• Analysing diverse information quickly and accurately
• Identifying trends
• Excellent attention to Detail
