Position Overview
Join our dedicated team at the Children’s Business Center Campus in Edina, Minnesota, where you will initially work onsite before transitioning back to a fully remote role.
As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a crucial role in addressing inquiries related to account balances for uninsured and underinsured patients. Your responsibilities will include providing timely responses to families’ queries regarding out-of-pocket expenses, co-insurance, and deductibles. You will be the first point of contact for patient inquiries, offering detailed explanations of billing information, resolving concerns, following up on outstanding issues, and working closely with various departments to investigate patient billing histories. Your ability to deliver exceptional customer service and communicate effectively will be paramount to success in this role.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years in customer service
- Proficiency in using various PC applications
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Familiarity with billing practices and follow-up procedures
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and staff
- Understanding of HIPAA standards and PCI compliance regulations
- Competence in operating computer systems, applications, and phone systems
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and self-management skills
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Adaptable to changing tasks and needs in a fast-paced setting
- High-level problem-solving, analytical, and investigational capabilities
- Quick learner with the ability to adhere to evolving timelines
- Commitment to service excellence as demonstrated in your daily interactions
