    Role Overview

    Join a vibrant and expanding team dedicated to crafting personalized estate and business plans for clients with intricate requirements. In this impactful position, you will engage in thorough case assessments and strategic planning, while analyzing legal documents and offering insightful written summaries. Your extensive planning expertise will be invaluable as you tailor bespoke plans for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients as well as business owners. This role demands a combination of deep estate and business planning knowledge, superior communication abilities, and exceptional writing and organizational skills.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with a team of experts, including attorneys, CFPs, and CPAs, alongside top-tier wealth management advisors, to devise all-encompassing plans focused on estate planning, wealth transition, business succession, tax strategies, and executive compensation for high-net-worth clients.

    • Evaluate clients’ financial portfolios to formulate strategies that facilitate informed client decision-making.

    • Assess and present solutions that align with Northwestern Mutual’s holistic approach to intertwining investments and life insurance.

    • Lead informative presentations for advisors and clients to support effective decision-making processes.

    • Work in tandem with external legal and tax advisors to ensure a cohesive planning approach for clients.

    • Oversee workflow management, ensuring compliance with service agreements for timely and precise delivery of analyses and services.

    • Foster and utilize relationships across the organization to address the distinct needs of clients in the high-net-worth arena and guarantee a seamless planning experience.

    Candidate Qualifications

    • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution; additional qualifications such as CFP, CPA, or LL.M. are highly desirable.

    • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in estate and business planning, ideally in a consulting capacity with clients and/or financial advisors.

    • Extensive experience with high-net-worth clientele in advanced estate and business planning and tax strategies.

    • In-depth knowledge of planning disciplines, including tax optimization, estate, and business succession planning, as well as wealth transfer techniques.

    • Possession of Series 6 or Series 7 licenses, or the ability to obtain them within the first 6 months of employment.

    • Home State Insurance License is required or must be acquired within the first 6 months.

    • Strong analytical capabilities, along with excellent skills in follow-up and self-management, with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.

    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex ideas into easily understood and actionable advice.

    • Ability to cultivate trustworthy relationships with financial advisors and a collaborative team spirit.

    • A willingness to mentor and develop others is a significant advantage.

    • Familiarity with planning software such as MoneyGuidePro, eMoney Advisor, or WealthTec is a plus.

    Position Logistics

    This role is open to remote candidates across the United States.

    Compensation Details:

    Starting Salary: $149,380.00

    Maximum Salary: $277,420.00
