    Your Expertise:

    Experience in SaaS/Application Software Development, C#/.NET, .NET Core, Persistence Frameworks, SOLID Principles, Web APIs, and MS SQL. Proven track record in Customer Experience, Team Leadership, and Systems & Processes Management.

    Your Role as Head of Development:

    We seek an accomplished Full Stack Head of Development to lead and motivate a cross-functional team of C# and SQL developers. This role encompasses both strategic leadership (50%) and hands-on technical development (50%), requiring a deep understanding of .NET application and system design within a Windows Server 2022 / MS SQL Server / IIS environment.

    This position is entirely remote and situated within the exciting fintech industry.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include:

    • Collaborating closely with customers, the Business Analyst, and the commercial team to gather insights, understand needs, act as a crucial thought partner, and ensure our solutions maximize value.
    • Leading, managing, and mentoring a growing developer team, including the Infrastructure Engineer, to cultivate a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
    • Overseeing the company’s hosting infrastructure and influencing its development as we move ahead.
    • Contributing as a senior management team member to shape the broader company strategy.
    • Partnering with our (ex-Microsoft) Chief Data Architect to design and architect distributed software systems focused on high performance, scalability, and reliability.
    • Writing clean, efficient, and scalable code while adhering to TDD best practices in an Agile context.
    • Establishing and managing formal development processes, including release management based on your experience and industry standards.
    • Conducting code reviews to ensure compliance with best practices and continuous improvement.
    • Managing our GitHub-based code repository effectively.
    • Fostering innovation by exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance our solutions.

    Key Skills and Background:

    • C#/.NET

    • SOLID Principles
    • Web APIs
    • MS SQL Server Integration through Stored Procedures
    • Performance Tuning for SQL

    Your Profile:

    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.
    • A genuine people-person who excels at empowering and getting the best from their team.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities with a customer-centric approach.
    • Capacity to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
    • Excellent communication skills, adept at engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • A fervor for innovation, ownership, and delivering high-value results for clients.
