    Your Role Awaits

    As the Director of Location Strategy and Operations, you will play a vital role in steering the strategic framework and operational execution of our location-based initiatives. You will ensure that our locations are in sync with the company’s overarching workforce and business objectives, fostering operational excellence and continuous improvement in location planning, performance, and evaluation. Your impact will be felt across regions, working closely with cross-functional partners and senior leadership to drive success.

    Your Key Responsibilities

    • Champion and drive strategic decisions regarding location initiatives (expansions, new markets, M&A, exits), engaging with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
    • Engage in workforce planning with your People Team counterparts and leadership to inform and influence location strategy decisions.
    • Conduct regular alignment sessions with regional leaders to ensure seamless communication and execution of location strategies.
    • Serve as a bridge among various business units to coordinate cross-functional projects and tackle location-related challenges.
    • Create and implement location health scorecards to monitor the performance and vitality of strategic locations; analyze this data to provide insightful recommendations for improvement.
    • Oversee the full cycle of new location requests, from business case development to due diligence, feasibility assessments, resource allocation, and securing stakeholder approvals.
    • Direct the planning and execution of location expansion or exit projects, collaborating across functions to meet business objectives within established timelines.
    • Enhance program effectiveness for Regional Leadership Councils while collaborating on key initiatives and outcomes.
    • Proactively identify opportunities for collaboration and program enhancements while working independently.
    • Manage Twilio’s Global Hiring guidelines to ensure regional and corporate compliance while supporting our location strategy.
    • Lead a project manager, offering daily support, establishing quarterly goals, and ensuring work alignment and priority setting.

    Essential Qualifications:

    • 7+ years of experience in global project or program management, successfully navigating large-scale, complex cross-functional projects.
    • Proven ability to collaborate with leaders to define objectives and create strategic recommendations.
    • Strong capability to compose compelling business cases with cross-functional insights, identifying risks and resources for executive review.
    • Outstanding leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
    • Proven track record of influencing stakeholders at varying organizational levels.
    • Experience managing intricate projects and cross-functional teams to deliver specific objectives and timelines.
    • Ability to establish a thorough change management framework for each location initiative, enhancing stakeholder enablement as needed.
    • A global outlook with the capability to recommend region-specific strategies.
    • Flexibility to engage across time zones, particularly for North America and Asia-Pacific meetings, is essential.
    • Experience in location strategy and operations is advantageous.
    • Experience in a team leadership capacity is preferred.
    • Familiarity with the workforce planning process is important.

    Work Location

    This position is fully remote, available to candidates based in Ireland or the UK.

    Travel Requirements
