    Job Overview: The Director of Strategic Accounts is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth, build strong customer relationships, and maximize profitability within the paper and packaging sector. This remote position focuses on the Southeast area and requires a dynamic, results-oriented professional with extensive experience in sales, account management, and business development within the industry.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Account Management:
      • Identify, prioritize, and manage a portfolio of strategic accounts within the paper and packaging industry.
      • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs, challenges, and growth opportunities.
    • Business Development:
      • Create and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to expand market share and increase revenue.
      • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential acquisitions to strengthen the company’s position.
    • Market Analysis:
      • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences.
      • Use market insights to develop and adapt sales and marketing strategies.
    • Sales Strategy:
      • Develop and implement sales strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product offerings meet customer requirements.
    • Financial Management:
      • Manage financial targets for the strategic accounts.
      • Monitor and report on financial performance, making necessary adjustments to meet or exceed targets.
    • Contract Negotiation:
      • Lead negotiations for major contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements with key clients.
      • Ensure contracts are favorable and align with company objectives.
    • Customer Satisfaction:
      • Monitor customer satisfaction and work proactively to address any issues or concerns.
      • Maintain a customer-centric approach to drive loyalty and repeat business.
    • Compliance and Risk Management:
      • Ensure adherence to industry regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
      • Mitigate risks associated with strategic accounts through proper risk assessment and management.
    • Reporting and Analytics:
      • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and account status.
      • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and develop action plans.

    Requirements include:

    • Education:
      • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
      • Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is a plus.
    • Experience:
      • Extensive experience (typically 7-10+ years) in sales, account management, or business development within the paper and packaging industry.
      • Proven track record of successful strategic account management and business growth.
    • Skills:
      • Strong communication skills, both internally and externally.
      • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
      • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
      • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Certifications:
      • Relevant certifications in sales or account management are a plus.
    • Knowledge:
      • Strong understanding of the paper and packaging industry, including market dynamics and customer needs.
      • Ability to build relationships and create solutions with new product development, R&T, operations, and senior leadership within the customer organization.
    • Key Competencies:
      • Results-oriented with a strong drive, work ethic, and commitment to excellence.
      • Strong entrepreneurial thinking and problem-solving skills.
      • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
      • Willingness to travel as required (35-40%!t(MISSING)ravel).
