Role Overview:
We are in search of an experienced Full Stack Head of Development to lead and inspire a talented cross-functional team of C# and SQL developers. This role combines leadership (50%) with hands-on technical development (50%), requiring a deep understanding of .NET application/system design within a Windows Server 2022 / MS SQL Server / IIS setting.
Your Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers, collaborate with our Business Analyst, and liaise with the commercial team to gather insights, comprehend client needs, and ensure our solutions deliver optimal value.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a blossoming team of developers, including the Company’s Infrastructure Engineer, while cultivating a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
- Oversee the company’s hosting infrastructure and aid in its evolution as we progress.
- As part of the senior management team, contribute to shaping the Company’s broader strategic direction.
- Work alongside our (ex-Microsoft) Chief Data Architect and SQL expert to design and architect distributed software systems that prioritize high performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable code while adhering to TDD best practices in an Agile framework.
- Establish and manage formal development processes, including release management, informed by your experience and industry best practices.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage our GitHub-based code repository effectively.
- Champion innovation by exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance our solutions.
Your Expertise Will Include:
- C#/.NET
- .NET Core
- Persistence Frameworks (such as Entity Framework, Dapper, etc.)
- SOLID Principles
- Web APIs
- MS SQL Server including Stored Procedures
- SQL CLR extensions and performance tuning

- You possess at least 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.
