We are seeking a skilled software engineer with a strong governmental background and expertise in AI to join our dynamic team. This role offers the exciting opportunity to work on advanced Back End services while collaborating with diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and sustain high-quality Back End services leveraging Java and Node.js.
• Engage collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, QA, UX, and product owners, to deliver exceptional solutions.
• Create clean, maintainable, and easily testable code that adheres to best practices.
• Participate actively in code reviews and agile ceremonies such as stand-ups and sprint planning.
• Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and comply with accessibility standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in both development and production environments.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Extensive commercial experience with Java (version 8 or higher) and Node.js.
• Proven track record working in agile, multidisciplinary teams within a government or large enterprise setting.
• Expertise in RESTful API development and integration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems, particularly Git.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, with a preference for AWS or Azure.
• A solid grasp of software engineering principles and practices, including TDD, BDD, and SOLID principles.
