As a member of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore is responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading vital power generation equipment, empowering energy infrastructure operators to deliver reliable, cost-effective energy.

Let’s Discuss Your New Role

In the pivotal position of Site EHS Specialist, you will oversee field personnel, ensuring strict adherence to Environmental Health and Safety policies, programs, procedures, and regulatory standards. Your role will involve communicating and cultivating site-specific programs, conducting comprehensive EHS audits and inspections, and providing insightful recommendations to enhance EHS performance while fostering a NO HARM culture.

You will ensure that all personnel are well-informed about safe working practices and procedures, allowing them to fulfill their responsibilities and adhere to compliance mandates, including the implementation of local legislation and FieldCore’s EHS standards.

How You Will Contribute:

• Develop, comprehend, and maintain the OneEHS project plan, offering support in communication and management across all facets.
• Assist with audits, incident investigations, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for Near Misses and incidents to guarantee adherence to safe work procedures aligned with Company policy, OHSA, EPA, DOT, and client requirements, as well as applicable local and federal laws. Ensure robust Emergency Response capabilities.
• Deliver project-specific site orientation training for all FieldCore personnel joining at any stage of the project, ensuring familiarity with site EHS requirements and specific hazards. Maintain attendance records diligently.
• Review customer permitting systems, ensuring compliance with site posting of permits, LOTO, Hot Work, Confined Space procedures, and FieldCore Lift Plans.
• Provide classroom-based EHS training as needed.

Essential Role Requirements:

• Willingness to travel extensively for projects and assignments.
• Availability for holiday, weekend, and overtime work as dictated by projects.
• Capability to spend significant time away from home for training and various assignments.

Skills for Success:

We are looking for a seasoned Site Environmental Health and Safety Specialist with a solid understanding of Iraq’s safety regulations, alongside familiarity with OHSA regulations. Additional qualifications include:

• Completion of OSHA 30 Training.
• NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent, or actively pursuing an Occupational Safety qualification.
• Preferable experience in understanding the risks related to equipment maintenance in the power generation sector.
• Proficiency in Arabic and a good command of English.
