At SolutionHealth, we are an integrated health system dedicated to delivering high-quality primary and specialty care tailored to meet the evolving needs of our communities. Our IT department stands out for its diversity, strategic initiatives, and innovation, all aimed at enhancing patient outcomes, ensuring safety, and delivering exceptional quality. We are on an exciting journey of technological advancement, continually enhancing our systems to better serve our patients and clinicians.
About the Role:
- We are on the lookout for an Epic Application Analyst specializing in the Cadence/Prelude applications.
This position spans various levels from entry-level (I) to expert (IV), and the final placement will depend on the candidate’s experience, Epic training credentials, and alignment with our organizational culture. As an Epic Application Analyst, you will be instrumental in the implementation, development, and ongoing maintenance of the Epic system along with its third-party integrations. Responsibilities will include providing on-call support, collaborating with clients, and ensuring adherence to software lifecycle protocols. As you advance, you’ll deepen your insight into the Epic platform, guide junior analysts, and spearhead initiatives focused on enhancing patient safety and quality. Success in this role necessitates strong critical thinking, problem-solving proficiency, and the ability to forge partnerships with colleagues and clients alike.
- Work hours are generally Monday to Friday during Eastern Time business hours, with some flexibility. This role involves participating in an on-call rotation for application support. Occasionally, you may need to cover special events or requirements outside of regular hours. You will need an appropriate virtual home office setup to work remotely. Standard office technology such as computers and mobile devices are used routinely, and occasional travel may be necessary for Go-Live installations or training, potentially requiring air, vehicle, or train transportation.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- System Configuration and Enhancement: Proactively research and configure systems to optimize processes, enhance efficiencies, and boost patient safety.
- Heuristic Design: Advocate for the effective utilization and benefits of healthcare systems. Use your clinical and business expertise to inform workflows, system designs, and support for end-users, showcasing a solid understanding of software design heuristics in your daily tasks.
- Innovation and Adaptation: Welcome change as an opportunity, pursue continuous process improvements, and showcase innovative thinking.
- Accountability: Own your actions, rectify mistakes, and commit to service excellence, adhering to governance and performance management standards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Forge strong relationships with stakeholders, end-users, and peers, ensuring clear communication and support.
- IT Knowledge: Exhibit a fundamental understanding of the systems development lifecycle by applying suitable methodologies for development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Project Management: Effectively oversee projects, grasp system development cycles, and apply project management principles.
- Documentation and Testing: Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation, create testing scripts, and verify that builds fulfill departmental standards and user approval.
Your Qualifications:
- A 4-year Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Training in analytical skills is required for the role. Experience as an analyst implementing and testing vendor software applications or operational experience in the relevant application area is preferred or required based on Analyst level.
- Certification and depth of Epic experience will vary by Analyst level. All levels necessitate prior Epic experience (as an end user or analyst). Epic Application Analysts 2-4 will need current Epic training (certification, accreditation, and/or proficiency) in the primary application, along with current statuses in additional areas for higher-level roles. If Epic training is mandated, candidates must meet the department’s expected outcomes for completion timeframe and scoring.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as an analyst with exceptional knowledge in system analysis, particularly in methodologies, project management, and business process reengineering related to information systems. Experience in a healthcare environment is essential, as is active vendor training status.
- Able to thrive under pressure while managing multiple priorities and rapidly changing conditions.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities requiring extensive computer use.
- Must be proficient in clear and effective communication, both verbally and in writing, including virtual meetings (video-enabled).
Why You’ll Choose Us:
- Comprehensive health, dental, prescription, and vision plans for both full-time and part-time employees.
- Short-term and long-term disability, as well as life insurance coverage.
- Competitive compensation packages.
- Tuition reimbursement options.
- A 403(b) Retirement Savings Plan to help you prepare for your future.
And so much more!
