Your Role
We are in search of a dedicated Maintenance Manager to join our Flight Operations team. Reporting directly to the Chief Pilot, you will be instrumental in maintaining our aircraft fleet, ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize the safety of passengers and crew by ensuring all aircraft are airworthy.
- Adhere to inspections, standards, methods, and procedures in line with applicable CFRs and manufacturer guidelines.
- Document essential inspection records, reports, and forms as mandated by CFRs or manufacturers.
- Conduct aircraft inspections and authorize maintenance actions to uphold airworthiness standards.
- Oversee training compliance to ensure currency.
- Engage actively in the Safety Management System.
- Manage maintenance activities for company aircraft as assigned.
- Develop and enforce all maintenance policies and procedures within the Flight Department.
- Establish safety protocols for ground operations and assess their effectiveness through the Safety Management System.
- Create maintenance plans, schedules, and budgets for assigned aircraft.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies regarding maintenance issues.
- Coordinate activities with external personnel or Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMOs) involved in aircraft maintenance.
- Keep aircraft maintenance records compliant with FAA regulations, manufacturer standards, and company policies.
- Monitor compliance with Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins related to Flight Department aircraft.
- Withdraw unsafe or non-compliant aircraft from service.
- Oversee the calibration of test equipment.
- Ensure that all products, parts, and supplies meet the necessary specifications while maintaining adequate inventory levels.
- Track expiration dates for first aid kits, automatic external defibrillators, and other critical emergency equipment.
- Review and update the emergency/Safety equipment inventory annually or as changes occur.
- Maintain an up-to-date technical library and disseminate relevant updates.
- Design maintenance and inspection protocols for aircraft based on manufacturer recommendations.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft mechanical systems and components.
- Carry out aircraft servicing and structural repairs.
- Supervise external maintenance services.
- Coordinate maintenance or repairs of hangar and ground support equipment.
- Manage routine and non-routine facility maintenance repairs.
- Transport necessary parts and supplies.
- Restock consumables to fulfill maintenance and office needs.
- Assist with compliance to OSHA regulations.
- Support operational needs for aircraft and ramp activities.
- Efficiently position company aircraft via towing in hangars or ramps.
- Provide support for both domestic and international flights as needed.
- Flexibility in work schedule to align with flight mission profiles is essential.
- Readiness to travel both domestically and internationally.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as delegated by the Chief Pilot and/or Head of Flight Operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Possession of a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the aviation industry.
- A Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
- Outstanding communication skills.
