About the Financial Health Team:
Our Data and Credit team is expanding to fuel the rapid growth and evolution of our offerings. We are in search of a Data Analytics Manager to lead a dedicated team of Data Analysts within our Financial Health squad, focusing on supporting customers facing financial challenges.
In this role, you will collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Analytical Engineering colleagues to harness data-driven insights that drive our initiatives. We’re looking for a strategic leader with a data-centric mindset who can inspire our team and improve customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and nurture a high-performing team of Data Analysts to enhance Monzo’s capabilities in supporting customers in financial distress.
- Assist in hiring, developing, and retaining top-tier data talent.
- Collaborate closely with senior leaders across Monzo to design and deliver impactful products for our customers.
- Infuse data leadership and precision into our product development processes while understanding the complexities of our business and structuring projects to bring them to fruition.
- Establish the long-term vision for the team and devise detailed roadmaps for all projects.
- Contribute to Financial Health’s global expansion strategy.
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics that evaluate business and customer outcomes.
- Ensure precise reporting to external parties and regulatory bodies.
- Develop and uphold control measures to ensure the efficiency of our business operations.
- Work on initiatives aimed at enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of our data.
- Generate insights that could steer our Financial Health strategy in new directions.
Our Data team’s mission is to empower Monzo to Make Smarter Decisions, Quicker. Central to this mission is our data platform, which allows for robust, real-time analytics and promotes accessibility across the organization. We streamline our data collection and analysis processes, enhancing simplicity and reusability within our data warehouse in Google BigQuery.
We frequently utilize the following tools and technologies (prior experience in all is not mandatory):
- AWS for our backend infrastructure

Interview Process:
Our streamlined interview process consists of three main phases, with no tricky questions involved!
- 30-minute call with a recruiter
- 45-minute introductory interview
- Three 1-hour video discussions, inclusive of a technical case study
