Job Description
The Regional Sales Manager plays a vital role in propelling business success within the South/Western Florida region for our client, a distinguished leader in the creation, manufacturing, and distribution of cutting-edge underwater lighting solutions designed for pools and spas. This position is essential for driving new business acquisitions, nurturing existing client relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction through dynamic sales strategies and exceptional service.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Engage with builders, OEMs, distributors, and potential clients to secure new business opportunities.
- Expand the current customer base to consistently achieve or surpass sales goals.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong connections with both existing and potential clients to fully understand their needs and preferences.
- Analyze sales data to help clients boost their sales and offer tailored solutions.
- Ensure ongoing communication to foster customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Sales Presentations and Product Demonstrations:
- Deliver persuasive sales presentations and engaging product demonstrations.
- Highlight the unique features, benefits, and value of our products and services.
- Customize presentations to address the specific requirements of each client.
Sales Recording and Forecasting:
- Keep precise records of sales activities, client interactions, and progress.
- Generate regular reports encompassing sales forecasts, customer needs assessments, volume potential, pricing strategies, and market insights.
Trade Shows and Exhibitions:
- Actively represent the company at trade shows, association meetings, and exhibitions to promote our brand and products.
Market Research:
- Gather ongoing market intelligence to discover new business potential, customer trends, and competitive insights.
- Share relevant feedback with key stakeholders to shape effective sales strategies.
Strategy Implementation:
- Craft and execute an annual sales strategy tailored for the region, maximizing returns from assigned accounts and achieving quotas set by the Vice President of Sales.
Sales Training and Development:
- Engage in continuous sales training and skill enhancement initiatives.
- Broaden product knowledge and sales techniques while providing training for clients as necessary.
Additional Duties:
- Carry out other tasks as directed by the Vice President of Sales.
Qualifications Required:
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (B.A) from an accredited four-year institution is preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in the pool or construction industry.
Skills:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret sales statistics and devise effective strategies.
- Spanish proficiency is a valuable asset.
Certifications:
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Industry Knowledge:
- Familiarity with the pool industry and construction sectors is advantageous.
Key Competencies:
- Excellent relationship-building abilities.
- Strong presentation and demonstration skills.
- Effective time management and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and undertake significant travel.
Additional Information:
Work Environment:
- This position is remote, requiring extensive travel throughout the South/Western Florida region.
Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel overnight within the territory at least 50% of the time, including long-distance driving and air travel.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports directly to the Vice President of Sales.
