    We are on the lookout for our next outstanding Solutions Engineer to join the Twilio Communications EMEA team.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    In this pivotal role, you will:

    • Collaborate closely with Twilio’s New Business Account Executives, fellow Solutions Engineers, Professional Services, and Twilio Partners as needed throughout the pre-sales process to ensure successful deal strategies.
    • Establish a productive business relationship with Twilio Account Executives, focusing on comprehensive business discovery with prospects and clearly conveying the business value our solutions provide.
    • Participate in the sales cycle alongside Account Executives through qualification, discovery sessions, product demonstrations, Proof-of-Concepts, RFP responses, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement activities.
    • Acquire in-depth knowledge about customer needs and Twilio’s leading communication technologies.
    • Lead technical discovery discussions with customers to identify their challenges and illustrate how Twilio can help achieve their goals.
    • Create and present compelling and intricate presentations and product demos that highlight the capabilities of Twilio’s Communication Products.
    • Gain insights into customers’ businesses to solve their identified problems and uncover opportunities for innovation.
    • Build trusted advisor relationships with top-level stakeholders at customer organizations, presenting creative solutions and architectural concepts that encourage innovation.
    • Contribute to the broader Twilio Solutions Engineer community by sharing expertise, developing demo assets, and creating reusable presentations.

    Essential Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical pre-sales role within the CPaaS, SaaS, or Telecom industries.
    • A solid understanding of the sales cycle and the pivotal role of a pre-sales engineer.
    • In-depth knowledge of voice protocols (VoIP), SIP implementations, or messaging APIs.
    • A creative mindset for problem-solving and collaboration to drive success.
    • A natural storyteller, able to engage an audience and simplify complex topics for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • The ability to ask insightful questions to fully grasp customer needs and guide them to technical solutions using Twilio’s Communication products.
    • Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and cloud application architectures.
    • Experience with programming languages including backend (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or PHP), and web technologies (JavaScript, React).
    • Proficiency in designing and consuming REST APIs.
    • Fluency in German is required.
    • Hands-on experience with backend development frameworks.
    • Knowledge of mobile development, particularly for iOS and Android applications.
    • A background in Telecommunications, SIP, WebRTC, or contact center technology in a technical role.
    • Experience in automation, cloud-native development, and familiarity with major cloud platforms.
    • Knowledge of various sales methodologies.

    Work Location

    This is a remote position based in the UK.

    Travel Requirements

    Building connections is essential for us, so expect around 35% travel for this role to foster meaningful in-person relationships with customers and teammates.
