The compensation for this role ranges from $113,000.00 to $203,000.00. The Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) Product team is focused on gaining a profound understanding of guest behaviors over time, and building data-driven products that enhance retention, engagement, and sustained business growth. As a Senior Product Manager with our CLV team, you will be instrumental in defining product strategies and roadmaps that unveil actionable insights and guide informed business decisions through the scope of guest lifetime value. Your responsibilities will include:
Strategizing CLV Development
Craft and implement an all-encompassing strategy that accurately measures, analyzes, and boosts Customer Lifetime Value through cutting-edge analytics and behavioral insights.
Collaborate with enterprise teams to ensure that CLV metrics impact business priorities in marketing, loyalty programs, product assortment, and digital experiences.
Innovating Products
Lead the development and continuous improvement of predictive models and segmentation strategies that pinpoint high-value guest segments, potential churn risks, and avenues for growth.
Convert complex data findings into user-friendly tools and experiences that promote personalized engagement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, analysts, finance, marketing, and digital teams to integrate CLV metrics across all guest touchpoints.
Promote the integration of CLV in decision-making processes throughout the organization.
Data-Driven Insights
Establish KPIs, set benchmarks, and track the effectiveness of CLV-driven initiatives on guest behavior and overall business performance.
Utilize data storytelling to engage senior leaders and guide strategic pivots.
Enhancing through Experimentation
Team up with experimentation teams to design A/B tests that assess interventions aimed at increasing guest loyalty and spend over time.
Use findings to refine predictive models and foster ongoing enhancements.
Leading Through Insight
Remain informed about CLV modeling trends, top retention strategies, and personalization advancements in the retail sector.
Share insights and mentor colleagues within product and analytics teams.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will take ownership of your product’s vision, strategy, and measurable results. Foster a data-centric approach and ensure guest value and experience remain at the forefront of all initiatives. Work closely with engineers, UX designers, and data scientists to manage the team backlog effectively. Regularly communicate product progress, outline risks, and articulate strategy to stakeholders at all levels.
Key Qualifications We’re Seeking:
In-depth knowledge of CLV principles, customer segmentation, and predictive modeling.
Proven experience leading data products from inception to successful delivery.
Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity, making strategic trade-offs, and delivering outcomes aligned with broader organizational priorities.
A passion for tackling complex challenges with curiosity, empathy, and resilience.
Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
At least 6 years of product management experience in areas involving AI, Data Science, and Customer Lifetime Value Models.
Experience in one or more functional domains such as CRM, digital marketing, loyalty programs, ad-tech, or customer analytics.
Technology-savvy with the ability to bridge communication between business and technical teams.
Experience in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum methodologies).
Proven capability to lead collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
This role may be eligible for a Remote or Hybrid (internally referred to as “Flex for Your Day”) work arrangement, depending on Target’s requirements. A Remote arrangement entails working full-time from home or another location outside of a Target facility, with occasional travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. In a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day arrangement, team members may work either remotely or on-site at a Target location, based on the needs of their role, team, and tasks. Please note that work duties cannot be conducted outside the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise advised by Target.
