    The Role

    We are looking for a strategic and results-driven professional to fill the role of Head of Accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our National and Regional accounts base, ensuring effective financial management, client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This position requires a visionary leader with a strong background in the beverage industry, and a proven track record in managing high-performance teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    Guide our annual business planning process, both internally and through formal, Joint Business Planning with customers.

    Monitor market trends and maintain data on competition.

    Improve our relationships within accounts by adding value through expertise and strategic partnerships.

    Issue clear direction and guidelines with regards to priorities – both qualitative and quantitative – both internally and externally.

    Develop and implement the strategies, tactics, and programs required to win in a manner that is consistent with channel strategy and to support retailer priorities.

    Contribute to our Leadership Team discussions within Congo Brands to ensure retailer representation and influence of overall channel strategy.

    Align and implement associated team goals across Congo Brands within zones.

    Work with Congo Brands VP’s and Sr. Directors, to implement all retailer programs in local markets, taking advantage of local marketing plans to lead national retailer performance.

    Ensure career and personal development for entire organization.

    Assist National Account Managers to develop successful programs.

    Allocate time with your team in office and in the field to implement Congo Brands standards.

    Key Skills and Experience Required

    Minimum of 10+ years’ experience working in Beverage or CPG sales

    Must have experience in Key, Regional or National Account Management

    DSD Experience

    Proven and successful track record in establishing strong and long-term customer relationships, being able to retain the highest-value relationships.

    Must have experience managing teams

    Must demonstrate high proficiency in MS Office tools, which are necessary for the creation of visually and verbally engaging reports and presentations for the senior sales management, clients, key stake holders etc.

    The Head of Accounts must have an ability to demonstrate an understanding of standard sales analyses and an ability to extract useful insights from raw data and information for the purpose of strategy creation, furthering key account agendas, and enabling the achievement of goals and targets.

    Must be customer-oriented, and patient to manage difficult customers, be result-focused, demonstrate integrity and respect in the performance of their duties, be self-motivated going beyond the call of duty, have an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines, have exceptional organizational skills, and demonstrate calmness in uncertain and stressful situations inspiring the same in their team.

    Valid driver’s license

    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

    Travel:

    50%

    This position requires a clean driving record and authorization to obtain your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) upon receiving and accepting a job offer.
