    Your role’s significance

    In this key position, you will report directly to the VP Commercial and oversee a remarkable £3B in flight transactions, while forging vital partnerships with over 120 airlines across various markets. This role integrates our commercial, product, and technology sectors and demands a unique combination of strategic insight, commercial expertise, and product knowledge to secure the most comprehensive and competitive flight offerings in the industry for loveholidays.

    Your daily responsibilities:

    • Take full ownership of the Aviation product strategy at loveholidays, crafting and executing the Aviation strategic roadmap.
    • Lead the commercial Aviation team to identify and capitalize on revenue opportunities within Aviation and across the broader product portfolio.
    • Analyze Aviation mix and network planning to refine our Aviation offerings, playing a crucial role in enhancing our Dynamic Package product.
    • Collaborate closely with product owners and technical teams to elevate Aviation as a standout product.
    • Manage all airline relationships, encompassing low-cost, scheduled, and charter airlines.
    • Oversee the technology and data partnerships within Aviation, including global distribution system providers and low-cost carrier booking associates.
    • Be the key business leader for our cross-functional Aviation Team, engaging with engineers, product owners, analysts, data scientists, and Aviation Operations.
    • Strategically balance revenue growth with risk management within the concentrated UK airline market.
    • Engage in the company-wide OKRs process, establishing quarterly objectives aligned with your strategic vision, and guiding the execution of this process within Aviation.
    • Manage the financial aspects of the Aviation function, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.

    Your qualifications:

    • Extensive experience in the aviation industry, particularly with low-cost airlines, scheduled carriers, and GDS.
    • Excellent relationship-building and influencing abilities, comfortable engaging with executive leadership.
    • Demonstrated commercial insight and negotiation prowess.
    • A strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
    • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams toward successful outcomes, particularly in collaboration with Product and Technology units.
    • Strong capacity for data-driven decision-making.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

    Additional preferences:

    • Experience managing fixed commitments and down-payments with airlines, including associated negotiation, forecasting, and revenue management.
    • Familiarity with working in other European markets, such as Germany or the Netherlands.
