In this pivotal role, you will spearhead biostatistics activities integral to drug development, ensuring all initiatives align seamlessly with Ascendis Pharma’s strategic objectives. You will report directly to the Vice President of Biostatistics.

Core Responsibilities

• Act as a Lead Biostatistician for studies, responsible for calculating sample sizes, crafting statistical analysis plans, and conducting exploratory analyses.
• Offer statistical expertise for clinical study designs, including protocol development, analysis planning, report preparation, tables, figures, listings, and regulatory submissions.
• Provide leadership during clinical studies, performing data reviews to ensure compliance with study protocols and validate assumptions used in statistical analyses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline product development and registration, ensuring timely delivery of statistical analysis and reporting.
• Oversee biostatistics vendors, identifying potential risks and resolving issues with Contract Research Organizations (CROs).
• Contribute to miscellaneous projects that support our drug development initiatives as needed.

Salary Range: $225-240K/year

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Ph.D. in statistics or related field with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience in biotechnology or pharmaceuticals.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Thorough understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) guidelines, and FDA regulations.
• Proficient in SAS programming.
• Adept at analyzing situations from multiple perspectives and applying appropriate statistical concepts.
• Proven experience in providing statistical guidance for clinical study design, data analysis strategies, and interpretation of results.
