    Job Description

    About the Role As a Insight Director, you will play a pivotal role in helping Wavemaker deliver effective communications planning solutions to our clients. You will work closely with our strategy, client leadership and growth teams, deploying and utilising a variety of research methodologies to create insight-driven recommendations. Key Responsibilities: Insight project management: Managing the delivery of high-quality client-facing insight projects, you will be experienced in:

    • interrogating client briefs to understand what the ask is and how we can use our research and insight products to deliver high quality responses.
    • managing the delivery of concurrent multiple projects to tight deadlines, using communication skills to manage client and internal stakeholder expectations.
    • delegating project tasks to more junior members of the team to ensure effective delivery to scope.

    Insight delivery: An experienced research practitioner, you will be adept at analysing multiple data sets to create rounded insights which produce actionable planning recommendations. Key client-facing insight delivery responsibilities include:

    • Utilising your experience of different research approaches (quant, qual, social & search analytics) to provide effective responses to briefs ;
    • Being an expert user of a range of our planning toolkits, third-party research platforms (GWI, Similarweb, Netbase Quid etc) and WPP research and data products;
    • Using your advanced excel skills to analyse diverse data sets to uncover insights and recommendations.

    Relationship building:

      • Build good relationships with key internal stakeholders, media owner partners and research and data product stakeholders in GroupM and WPP;
      • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure that our research and insight capabilities remain cutting-edge;
      • Manage client relationships, spotting opportunities for deepening and furthering our scope.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Proven experience in data analysis and visualization, with a strong understanding of statistical methods and data modelling techniques.
    • Advanced Excel/PowerPoint.
    • Experience working with large and diverse datasets.
    • Natural ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, willing to present to senior clients and stakeholders
    • A passion for data-driven problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous experience working in a media / advertising data role
    • Knowledge of media planning and buying processes.
    • Experience with media data tools such as GWI, Similarweb, Netbase Quid.
