In this dynamic role, we’re seeking a motivated Full-Stack Developer who is passionate about our mission and eager to participate in the creation of a comprehensive data search and analytics platform. This innovative platform enables public safety agencies and community organizations to collaborate more effectively, offering enriched insights into law enforcement data that reveal essential engagement patterns, enhance officer performance, and streamline resource allocation.

Your Responsibilities

• Craft engaging web applications utilizing React (Next.js) and Python (Django)
• Design user-centric interfaces that are both intuitive and impactful
• Implement rigorous testing protocols to guarantee product stability and reliability
• Create scalable, maintainable code suitable for a secure, multi-tenant SaaS framework
• Participate in sprint planning by deconstructing complex tasks and setting practical objectives
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of the ForceMetrics platform to leverage its capabilities in solving real-world public safety challenges

Your Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development with a solid grounding in contemporary web technologies
• Proficient in JavaScript and Python, with experience in frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Vue.js
• Skilled in CSS frameworks like Tailwind, Bootstrap, or Material Design to create attractive, responsive interfaces
• Excellent communication abilities, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• A collaborative team player with a genuine desire to contribute across functional areas
• A growth mindset, open to constructive criticism and committed to ongoing learning and development
• Proactive, solutions-oriented attitude, ready to take initiative and achieve outcomes in a fast-paced environment
• Eligibility as a U.S. Citizen (or Green Card Holder) with the ability to pass an FBI background check to access sensitive data aimed at making a positive change

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an early-stage tech startup environment
• A genuine passion for effecting change in the community
• Familiarity with law enforcement, public safety, or related data systems
• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited institution
• Proficient in Elasticsearch, with experience in constructing search queries and aggregations
• Knowledge of object-oriented design principles and software design patterns
• Experience with backend technologies such as Django, Flask, CherryPy, Spring, or Spring Boot
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Postgres, MySQL, Microsoft SQL)
• Familiarity with mobile application development (iOS, Android, React Native)
• Experience using Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD practices
• Previous experience working within Agile/Scrum teams
