About the Role

The WDK (Wallet Development Kit) Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in enhancing Tether’s open-source toolkit, designed for creating self-custodial wallet applications across both mobile and desktop environments. This position encompasses technical design, implementation, and collaborative efforts to enrich the toolkit’s functionalities. A background in wallet development or decentralized finance (DeFi) is a valuable asset.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in cutting-edge projects utilizing agile methodologies and state-of-the-art technologies.
• Ensure backend services maintain scalability, responsiveness, and real-time support to accommodate growth.
• Adhere to stringent security standards to safeguard user assets and sensitive data.

Essential Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Node.js and JavaScript development.
• Experience in building or integrating crypto wallets for DeFi or blockchain applications.
• Familiarity with modular architecture principles for scalable application development.
• Proficient in developing complex platforms and APIs.
• Understanding of peer-to-peer technologies.
• Capable of quickly assimilating new technologies.
• Strong knowledge of best security practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-availability systems.
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, or C++.
• Knowledge of message queues (Redis), caches, and job queues.
• Experience in mobile application development (React Native, Flutter, Native).
