    As a key member of cross-functional development teams, the Senior Manager of Biostatistics plays a crucial role in shaping trial design, developing protocols, planning analyses, interpreting results, and preparing regulatory submissions. You’ll cultivate collaborative relationships with the Biostatistics Lead and engage with various team members to ensure the success of our initiatives.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Collaborate on clinical study designs, focusing on methodology, data analysis, interpretation, and reporting of results.

    • Author and review documents including protocol synopses, full protocols, statistical analysis plans, case-report forms, clinical study reports, and associated publications, with some oversight.

    • Conduct and validate statistical analyses while providing guidance on optimizing data presentation.

    • Communicate findings to cross-functional teams and support data interpretation in clinical study reports and publications.

    • Translate scientific inquiries into statistical language and explain statistical concepts in accessible terms.

    • Comply with BMS procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring adherence to global and project standards within specific therapeutic areas and maintaining high quality in deliverables.

    • Continuously enhance your technical knowledge of statistical methodologies and their application in trial design and data analysis for producing clear, high-quality results.

    • Deepen your understanding of the drug development process alongside regulatory and commercial requirements.

    • Guide and mentor team members to foster their development.

    • Effectively communicate the mission and vision of GBDS, fostering pride and commitment within the department.

    • Promote a culture of inclusivity and respect for diversity, encouraging thoughtful questioning and constructive dialogue.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Recent PhD or MS with a minimum of 2 years of experience in statistics, biostatistics, or a related scientific field, ideally in clinical trials or the pharmaceutical industry.

    • Proficient in scientific programming and computing (SAS, R, or Python) as well as advanced statistical analysis, data manipulation, and visualization.

    • Strong interpersonal communication, writing, and organizational skills.

    You Should Also Be Able To:

    • Understand regulatory requirements and clinical trial design, alongside data analysis and interpretation.

    • Work effectively within cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities seamlessly.

    • Leverage experience in standard and advanced statistical methods to enhance project outcomes.

    • Have a solid grasp of regulatory frameworks and clinical trial design methodologies.
