As a Lead Engineer on the Red Team, you will oversee operations, contribute to team initiatives, guide team direction, and collaborate with partners. - Effectively bypass security controls to meet operational objectives.
- Engage with the Cyber Security Incident Response Team and other stakeholders to pinpoint improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Cyber Threat Intelligence and Detection engineers on research projects.
- Educate and partner with non-security engineering teams to achieve operational goals.
Your Expectations

- Manage work effectively using project management tools (Github/JIRA).
- Adapt to the dynamic needs and priorities of the team.
- Write and read code to fulfill Red Team objectives.
- Gain a profound understanding of Red Team infrastructure.
About You
- A minimum of four years of experience in offensive security and/or defensive security.

- Clear and respectful communication of technical issues in mentorship/training situations.
- Capability to resolve complex technical problems with minimal guidance.
- Foster a strong sense of commitment within the team toward key priorities.
- Engagement in self-directed learning to stay updated on relevant technologies.
Preferred Skills:
- Extensive experience in Red Team adversary emulation.
- Familiarity with Blue Teams, including Incident Response or Detection roles.
- Experience working in large, complex organizational structures.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, Rust, Go, or C.
- A knack for solving challenging problems and creatively circumventing systems.
- Ability to replicate the tools and techniques employed by real-world threat actors.
- Awareness of trends among threat actors that impact organizational security.
This position may offer a Remote or Hybrid work arrangement, known internally as “Flex for Your Day,” depending on Target’s needs. A Remote arrangement means the team member will work full-time from home or another location, not affiliated with Target, with occasional travel to HQ up to four times a year. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day setup permits working either remotely or onsite at a Target location, based on daily role requirements. Work duties must remain within the primary work location’s country unless specified otherwise by Target.
