    Principal Designer / CDM Advisor – Work Remotely

    A rare and exciting opportunity awaits a construction-focused Health and Safety expert to join our team as a CDM Advisor, working on diverse projects across the Retail, Commercial, and Residential sectors.

    Essential Qualifications:

    • A relevant degree and demonstrable construction industry experience.
    • CDM qualifications and/or memberships.
    • Proven experience in construction Health and Safety.

    Your Responsibilities as a CDM Advisor:

    In this pivotal role within our Property Department’s Health and Safety Consultancy Team, you will be instrumental in driving success through effective delivery.

    • Provide CDM advisory and Principal Designer services daily across various projects and sectors.
    • Travel across the UK for site inspections and health & safety audits.
    • Compile Pre-Construction Information (PCI).
    • Prepare and review key CDM documents, including design risk registers.
    • Conduct design risk assessments for new builds, refurbishments, and fixture reviews.
    • Utilize your CDM and H&S expertise to promote compliance and positive changes.
    • Support duty holders in meeting their legal responsibilities on traditional and design & build projects.
    • Report upward to exceed client expectations.

    Desirable Skills and Experience:

    • Familiarity with CDM 2015 Regulations.
    • NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction Certificate, or in progress.
    • IOSH Membership (at least Associate level) is preferred.
    • A valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
    • Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
    • Experience in construction, especially in retail, leisure, or commercial sectors.
    • Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office.
