    We are on the lookout for a commercially savvy Senior Ecology Consultant to strengthen our expanding Ecology team.

    The ideal candidate will hold a CIEEM membership and possess a degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a comparable field. You should bring extensive experience in ecological consulting, showcasing a robust skill set in diverse habitats and protected species. Your expertise in planning and executing ecological surveys and developing effective mitigation strategies will be crucial to your success. A thorough understanding of ecological legislation and planning policy is essential, along with familiarity with Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) and BREEAM standards.

    As an outstanding communicator, you will prepare precise and comprehensive technical reports aligned with CIEEM guidelines. Your ability to nurture and strengthen relationships with colleagues is highly valued, as you will also take on the role of guiding and mentoring junior team members. With proven client management skills, you will adeptly liaise with clients, contractors, statutory consultees, and the public, fostering collaborative partnerships.

    To qualify for this role, you must possess a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle. Additionally, holding a level 1 or higher Bat and/or Great Crested Newt (GCN) Natural England license would be beneficial.
