We are on the lookout for a dynamic and seasoned Senior Software Engineer to become an integral part of our Keeper Secrets Manager (KSM) team. This position offers the flexibility of being fully remote, with the option for a hybrid schedule available to candidates located in the El Dorado Hills, CA, or Chicago, IL metropolitan areas!

Your Role
In the capacity of a Senior Software Engineer, you will engage with a talented group of engineers within our Keeper Development team. You’ll play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of our core product—Keeper Secrets Manager. Collaboration is key; you will work with cross-functional teams to create outstanding software solutions that align with user and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Take initiative in planning, organizing, and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Work hand-in-hand with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to define and execute software solutions for Keeper’s Developer Tools.
- Create, develop, and maintain secure and scalable solutions for Keeper’s SDKs and integrations.
- Utilize languages and technologies including Java, Python, JavaScript, .NET, Go, and PowerShell.
- Manage multiple simultaneous projects, prioritizing them effectively.
- Write clean, maintainable, and thoroughly documented code.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to guarantee the performance, reliability, and security of code.
- Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in software development and cybersecurity.
- Produce and maintain detailed documentation.
- Contribute to and manage open-source projects.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, .NET, Go, or PowerShell.
- Experience in database design and management, particularly with MySQL.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (such as AWS) and integrations like AWS CLI, AWS KMS, Azure DevOps, and GCP Secret Manager.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and encryption principles.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
- Proven experience working in an agile development environments.
- Previous contributions to open-source code are a plus.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
