As a seasoned leader, you’ll spearhead the development of our innovative Q-SYS UC&C software suite, guiding a talented team dedicated to enhancing our product offerings. In collaboration with product management, stakeholders, and partners, you will champion the execution of our ambitious UC&C roadmap, setting new standards for market capabilities.

    Your leadership will focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences through cutting-edge software development practices. We welcome candidates near our offices in Costa Mesa, CA; Boulder, CO; or Fort Wayne, IN, but we are open to remote talent as well.

    Base compensation ranges from $162,000 to $213,000—reflecting QSC’s commitment to fair and competitive pay based on experience, qualifications, and location.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage the UC&C software engineering team to create an outstanding customer experience while implementing agile software development best practices to achieve the Q-SYS UC&C roadmap.
    • Develop and direct the UC&C architectural strategy in partnership with product management and architects, utilizing innovative technologies to deliver scalable solutions.
    • Collaborate closely with Q-SYS product management to define and implement design and features focusing on delivering an exceptional customer “wow” factor.
    • Build a high-performing software engineering organization that consistently meets deadlines with superior quality.
    • Enhance performance metrics to continually improve software quality and value delivered to customers.
    • Work with QSC and third-party vendors to create market-leading customer experiences.
    • Foster a culture of excellence within UC&C teams dedicated to superior customer satisfaction.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 10 years’ experience leading software development, UC&C, or technology research teams, ideally in the UC&C or AV sectors.
    • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
    • Proven ability to manage a large-scale software development organization focused on delivering high value.
    • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development skills across various software disciplines.
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for fostering collaboration that yields tangible results.
    • A demonstrated record of delivering high-quality software using agile methodologies.
    • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meeting deadlines.
    • Deep knowledge of UC&C technologies and market dynamics.
    • Familiarity with embedded architecture and development, as well as collaboration applications.
    • Experience integrating software with platforms like Teams, Zoom, and Meet is a plus.
    • Background in Android embedded device integrations is also advantageous.
    • Understanding of cloud integration within UC&C applications and/or the AV industry is a bonus.
    • Business acumen and comprehension of the UC&C landscape are preferred.
    • A design mindset focused on customer satisfaction and experience enhancement.
    • Ability to identify and articulate customer needs to drive innovative solutions.
    • Capability to translate corporate strategies into actionable plans.
    • Proficient in communicating complex ideas across all organizational levels effectively.
