The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Contracts Manager to join our Legal team and spearhead the project management of customer and supplier contract negotiations, specifically focusing on the USA and North America. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the General Counsel and various teams across the organization to facilitate RFPs, create new customer agreements, handle upsells, negotiate global supplier contracts, and manage business-as-usual activities.
This position is perfect for someone seasoned in technology contracts who has a curious mindset and forward-thinking approach. You will take charge of leading contract negotiations while enabling the Legal Team to embrace more efficient workflows, from utilizing document automation tools to establishing processes that minimize lengthy manual reviews.
Location
This position is open to candidates located in Colombia or the UK, with remote-first options available in both countries. Occasional travel may be necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the drafting, review, and negotiation of customer and supplier contracts, primarily focused on the US, with additional support for Canada, the UK, and EU.
Assist with public sector RFPs by evaluating proposed terms and preparing contract exceptions.
Collaborate with business and finance stakeholders to ensure alignment on pricing, scopes of work, and critical contractual terms.
Promote the use of AI and automation to enhance contract workflows, from document triaging and redlining to uncovering efficiency opportunities across the contract lifecycle.
Refine and enhance templates, playbooks, and contract workflows to ensure consistency and clarity.
Manage tools and processes that facilitate smarter document review and triaging.
Project-manage contract-related initiatives to keep processes streamlined and ensure team alignment.
Organize and maintain our contract repository, working towards establishing a clear and central source of truth.
Provide advice to colleagues on contractual terms and support improved decision-making across teams.
Who You Are
Extensive experience managing complex commercial contracts in the tech industry; preference for SaaS expertise, although not mandatory.
Knowledgeable in US contract law and North American market standards; global experience is advantageous.
Adept in contract drafting, redlining, and commercial negotiations.
Comfortable utilizing legal tools and eager to explore automation and AI to enhance workflows.
Inquisitive, proactive, and process-oriented, always seeking ways to improve.
Composed and organized under pressure, able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Collaborative and approachable with excellent communication skills, thriving in teamwork settings.
Self-driven and detail-focused, showcasing good judgment and commitment to follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with public sector RFPs or regulated contracting environments.
Understanding of data protection, privacy, or intellectual property-related clauses.
Familiarity with tools like DocuSign, LinkSquares, or process automation platforms.
