    Our Operations & Maintenance Group is excited to announce an opening for an Electrician to join our Solar Operations and Maintenance team, focusing on areas spanning between Rochester and Syracuse. This role is ideal for individuals experienced in the inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of commercial or utility-scale solar facilities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify safety hazards, adhering to strict safety protocols to protect yourself, your colleagues, and the community.
    • Interpret instruction manuals, blueprints, and control system diagrams; apply technical knowledge to daily tasks under the guidance of the Lead Electrician.
    • Maintain comprehensive written and electronic documentation (work orders, calibration sheets, timecards, material requests) to track work in progress.
    • Conduct repairs, tests, troubleshooting, inspections, and maintenance for solar site equipment, including solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA systems.
    • Mentor and train apprentice electricians and coworkers in safe tool usage and maintenance practices.
    • Be available for occasional after-hours and weekend call-outs.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in industrial solar electric/electronic maintenance, including repair, inspection, installation, and testing of electrical/electronic equipment.
    • A valid driver’s license in good standing issued by your state of residence.
    • A High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Strong understanding of electrical concepts, including voltage and current relationships for AC and DC circuits.
    • Knowledge of Solar PV systems is a plus.
    • Ability to successfully complete required training and testing for the position.
    • Physical capability to push, pull, bend, stand, stoop, lift, carry, reach, climb, and work at heights for extended periods while troubleshooting equipment.
    • Preferably, OSHA training and certification.
