    Manager – FOAXIAL DevCo-as-a-Service (DaaS) – Procurement and Offtake Origination Expert

    Are you a seasoned Manager with a passion for navigating and optimizing diverse supply chains and originating offtake agreements? If you have a proven track record in offtake origination and procurement, we invite you to join our dedicated team working on the FOAXIAL DevCo-as-a-Service accelerator for First-of-a-kind (FOAK) projects.

    Program Overview

    FOAXIAL, delivered by Deep Science Ventures (DSV) and its partners, aims to prepare the teams developing key decarbonization technologies for their FOAK onto nth-of-a-kind projects. Collaborating with a global network and key EPCs, corporates, and philanthropy, we aim to facilitate emissions reductions in select industrial sectors by accelerating later stage startups and providing them the operational, financial, and partnerships support to succeed.

    Position Overview

    We’re seeking an experienced Manager to support startups as they define and improve their procurement processes across varied supply chains. This role will also involve originating and augmenting offtake agreements to support the objectives of FOAXIAL and the participating technologies and startups.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage and enhance procurement processes across diverse supply chains, ensuring efficiency, risk mitigation, and alignment with decarbonization principles
    • Originate and augment offtake agreements, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to secure sustainable and strategic partnerships (often building on existing offtake agreements initiated by startups).
    • Support engagement with startup teams and founders, including selection and diligence, and programmatic support.
    • Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless integration of offtake agreements into overall project strategies.
    • Implement metrics to measure the impact of procurement activities, capturing key performance indicators related to sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.
    • Develop comprehensive reports and documentation to support procurement and offtake operations for participating startups and the FOAXIAL accelerator.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, with a strong background in Procurement and Offtake Origination.
    • Proven experience in optimizing procurement processes across varied supply chains.
    • Demonstrated expertise in offtake origination, negotiating and securing agreements that align with project objectives.
    • Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Solid references attesting to your procurement and offtake origination capabilities.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Familiarity and/or engineering background related to the industrial sector and knowledge of diverse supply chains, particularly in areas such as hydrogen, cement, chemicals, carbon dioxide removal, cooling, and/or steel/refining.
    • Ability to quickly grasp and apply design concepts in innovative and sustainable ways.
