    Job Overview

    Join our dynamic Site Management Team, where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing Material and Laydown area operations at the Ghatampur Turbine (3 x 660MW) Project. This Fixed Term Contract position spans one year and involves ensuring smooth material movement, collaborating with internal and external partners, and maintaining comprehensive reporting for material logistics. Your responsibilities will encompass daily logs for material receipts, reconciliations for subcontractor materials, tracking discrepancies, managing scrap disposal, and handling spare parts transfers to customers, among other essential tasks.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee and manage the lifecycle of materials from their arrival at the site through to their commissioning or handover to appropriate parties.

    • Facilitate seamless delivery at the site, prioritizing direct handling for heavy items.

    • Utilize and regularly update the MTA software to accurately register and track on-site materials.

    • Conduct inspections of incoming goods, promptly reporting any shortages or damages.

    • Administer the lay down area, ensuring adequate preparation and secure storage solutions.

    • Implement material security measures within the lay down area.

    • Establish protocols for material delivery, creating schedules and maintaining effective interfaces.

    • Formulate procedures for the storage and handover of spare parts.

    • Verify the completeness and accuracy of all accompanying documents for material deliveries in line with specifications and purchase orders.

    • Ensure packing lists are present, recorded, and classified, while also pursuing any missing documentation.

    • Develop and implement a plan for the removal of packing waste.

    • Address and resolve material shortages as they arise.

    • Collaborate with the project expediting office to oversee on-site materials management, ensuring detailed checks and reviews.

    • Identify and document any non-conformities (NCR) regarding materials before final acceptances, liaising with construction and quality assurance teams to guarantee traceability.

    • Maintain daily logs that capture all relevant events to handle potential claims or disputes effectively.

    • Coordinate all materials movement and shipments among project participants.

    • Lead a team dedicated to materials management, collaborating closely with partners and subcontractors.

    • Request and prepare quotations for material handling, lifting devices, and operators.

    • Organize or execute positive material identification when necessary, particularly concerning piping materials.

    • Ensure compliance with EHS requirements within the material management scope for all contractors on site.

    Qualifications

    • Degree/Diploma from an accredited university.

    • A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in warehouse management, particularly in power plants with a capacity of 500MW or associated WFGD projects.

    • Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

    Desired Skills

    • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities, with a proven track record in documenting, planning, and executing projects effectively.
