    About Up World

Up World is a vibrant community for ambitious marketers who aim to achieve remarkable success while fostering the growth of others. We’re making significant strides in the marketing landscape:

    • Big Up Club is an exclusive, invite-only network crafted for start-up Marketing Directors, Heads of Marketing, and CMOs to learn from and thrive alongside the top marketing talents in the UK. Launched last February, this community has selectively welcomed 60 members, and your key responsibility will be managing it.

    • Up Club delivers unparalleled access to industry leaders, mentoring from experts, and top-notch training designed to enhance your marketing prowess.

    • The Marketing Accelerator is a transformative 12-week program tailored for mid-level marketers, focusing on leadership development and career progression.

    We possess formidable ambition.

Our vision is to cultivate dynamic communities in cities across the UK and beyond, while crafting a service so invaluable that our members couldn’t imagine working without it. We may not be changing the world, but we are genuinely impacting lives by creating an essential space for those who may otherwise lack structured personal development, helping them realize their full potential and combat professional isolation.

    Role Overview

The Membership & Partnerships Manager plays an integral role in two key areas of Up World.

    Ownership of Big Up Club:

You’re tasked with steering an engaging development program for Marketing Directors and CMOs, ensuring members rave about their experience. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Driving membership growth and retention, converting interest into lasting loyalty and transforming members into passionate advocates

    • Designing and delivering an enjoyable, high-value community experience that incorporates meaningful personal touches

    • Balancing personal engagement with effective automation to achieve scale without compromising the community’s unique essence

    • Hosting vibrant online and in-person events with charisma and warmth (confidence and presence are essential)

    • Utilizing tools and systems to ensure seamless daily operations and impactful major events

    • Actively listening to members and optimizing their experience informed by feedback and insights

A Community Executive will assist you in delivering the Big Up Club experience, reporting to Liv (our Community Manager overseeing Up Club) with a dotted line into you.

    Leading our Partnerships Program:

You will spearhead our partnerships initiative, collaborating with brands looking to support Up World and engage with our mission.

    • Managing and expanding our commercial partnerships, from outreach to delivery

    • Building and nurturing long-term relationships with brands and partners

    • Effectively overseeing our partnerships pipeline, tracking discussions, closing deals, and providing clear reports

    • Delivering exceptional account management to make partners feel appreciated and eager to renew

    • Collaborating with our broader team to create campaigns, content, and activations that add real value

In the future, we envision appointing a Partnerships Manager to take charge of the partnerships program, which may report to you based on the growth of both the partnerships and Big Up Club, as well as your performance!

You will report directly to Jonny, Head of Up World.
