Following a successful launch in the UK, our client is eager to grow its marine finance operations, particularly within the workboat sector. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a driven Business Development Manager who has a proven history of originating and structuring marine finance agreements. In this role, you’ll collaborate with expert partners while also independently developing new business opportunities. Your responsibilities will include preparing credit submissions, overseeing stakeholder relationships both internally and externally, and fostering enduring customer partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cultivate new business and oversee a thriving pipeline of marine finance prospects.
• Collaborate with introducers and directly source new leads to fuel growth.
• Draft comprehensive credit papers and assist in structuring deals effectively.
• Manage negotiations and ensure that transactions are executed flawlessly.
• Represent the organization at industry events and contribute valuable market insights.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in marine finance and asset-backed lending.
• Strong skills in credit analysis, deal structuring, and negotiation tactics.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
