Join our dynamic team as a NIMAA instructor, where you’ll play a crucial role in guiding participants through the NIMAA Medical Assisting program. In this position, you will not only deliver engaging instruction but also collaborate with fellow educators to enhance our curriculum and teaching materials. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Education, you’ll be an integral part of the NIMAA team and work closely with external partners to enrich our students’ learning experiences.

    In this role, you will:

    • Dive into the principles of person-centered, team-based primary healthcare, specifically focusing on the vital role medical assistants play in high-performing organizations.
    • Master the online curriculum of NIMAA and develop innovative strategies to engage students, harnessing feedback from various stakeholders to assess and improve content effectiveness.
    • Provide high-quality instruction to small groups of students, effectively guiding 20-25 learners across multiple topics and ensuring they receive constructive feedback through comments, postings, and evaluations.
    • Build strong relationships with students, offering personalized support to aid their success in navigating the NIMAA program, including holding meetings and advising sessions as needed.
    • Oversee instructional operations, manage schedules, and maintain accurate records while ensuring a seamless connection between our online training and in-clinic externships.
    • Collaborate with your colleagues in the NIMAA instructional team and liaise with various support and leadership teams to foster a cohesive learning environment.

Additionally, you’ll undertake special assignments at the direction of the Associate Director of Education, contributing to the development and implementation of a strategic work plan aimed at refining curriculum based on insights from students, employers, and advisory boards.

    Ideal candidates will possess:

    • An Associate’s degree or higher.
    • A minimum of three years of experience as a medical assistant, with a proven track record in educating or training peers in this field.
    • Preferred experience in primary healthcare settings, particularly within Patient-Centered Medical Homes (PCMH) and team-based practices.

Licensure requirements include a current national medical assisting credential or an advanced licensure.

You will thrive in this position if you embody personal attributes such as:

    • Exceptional integrity and strong organizational skills.
    • A team-oriented mindset and effective instructional abilities characterized by empathy and engagement.
    • Clear communication skills coupled with a proactive, self-motivated approach to learning and improvement.

We uphold stringent confidentiality standards in line with policy requirements and value the integrity of all business information.
