In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in crafting and executing decision support tools, comprehensive reporting applications, insightful analyses, and business intelligence solutions. Your advanced analytical skills will help inform health care policy, benefits, and operational decisions impacting both internal and external stakeholders at Aetna. You will leverage health, utilization, and financial data from diverse sources, providing valuable insights into areas such as population health management, economic outcomes, healthcare quality, program design, and provider network planning. These initiatives will demand your sophisticated technical and analytical capabilities, as well as a deep understanding of healthcare data systems, benefits structures, financing models, and delivery mechanisms.
As the lead analyst on complex projects, you will seamlessly collaborate with internal teams and external clients to ensure successful delivery of analyses and solutions that align with business objectives. You will guide and mentor team members, driving collective success while fostering an environment of growth and innovation.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in Data Analysis or a related field.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis techniques and relevant tools.
- Expert-level skills in SQL, Python, or R for data retrieval and transformation.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and uphold data integrity.
- Familiarity with navigating in Linux/UNIX environments.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Strong analytical and data manipulation skills.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
- Experience in communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and coordinate across multiple teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A customer-centric approach in developing business strategies.
- Experience working in data warehouse settings and managing extensive data sets from various sources.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in data analytics.
- Understanding of data governance principles and data quality best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, in healthcare contexts.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred; specialized training or relevant professional certifications are also valued.

Compensation Range:
The typical pay range for this position is between $54,300.00 and $145,860.00, reflecting the base hourly rate or annual salary. Actual offerings will vary based on experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors. Additionally, this role is eligible for bonuses, commissions, or short-term incentives.
