We are thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity for individuals passionate about blending linguistic expertise with technical proficiency. We are on the lookout for a Localization QA Tester / Proofreader who possesses native-level fluency in Russian and robust technical capabilities.

In this pivotal role, you will engage in testing a diverse range of applications and tools, executing detailed test cases, identifying localization challenges, and efficiently reporting issues through our internal bug-tracking system. You’ll also be responsible for verifying the implementation of fixes, ensuring the highest standards of quality.

This position is fully remote and part-time, structured as a fixed-term contract with potential for extension. You’ll work approximately 20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule comprising 4 hours per day, to be arranged.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough testing of web-based systems and applications on Mac OS X and iOS platforms.
• Execute test cases and scripts to assess localization precision and effectiveness.
• Identify, document, and track localization bugs using our internal bug-tracking system.
• Confirm the accuracy of fixes and maintain high linguistic and functional quality.
• Prioritize linguistic issues by categorizing them into critical and non-critical errors.
• Clearly outline and communicate the steps to reproduce issues.
• Collaborate seamlessly with various teams in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Native-level fluency in Russian, with strong command of grammar, vocabulary, composition, and punctuation.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Background in translation, localization, or linguistic quality assurance.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
• Familiarity with bug-tracking systems and test case execution processes.
• Self-motivated with the capability to thrive in both independent and collaborative settings.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capacity to work efficiently under pressure within a dynamic environment.
