Welocalize invites enthusiastic individuals who appreciate a blend of linguistic and technical challenges to apply for a position as a Localization QA Tester / Proofreader. We are looking for someone with native Slovenian fluency and solid technical capabilities.

In this position, you will engage in testing various applications and tools, executing test cases, pinpointing localization challenges, and efficiently reporting these issues through our internal bug-tracking system. Additionally, you will verify the implementation of fixes once they are executed.

This role is fully remote and part-time, offered on a one-year fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension. You will work 20 hours per week, structured in 4-hour daily shifts, to be determined.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough testing on web-based systems and applications for Mac OS X and iOS.
• Execute defined test cases and scripts to guarantee localization accuracy.
• Identify, document, and track localization bugs using our internal bug-tracking system.
• Verify fixes to ensure both linguistic and functional quality are maintained.
• Assess the severity of linguistic issues, categorizing them as critical or non-critical.
• Clearly document issue reproduction steps for reporting purposes.
• Collaborate effectively with various teams in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Native-level fluency in Slovenian, with strong command of grammar, vocabulary, composition, and punctuation.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in translation, localization, or linguistic QA.
• Robust technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
• Familiarity with bug-tracking systems and executing test cases.
• Demonstrated capability to work independently as well as within a team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
