Specific Team Overview
Evidera’s Patient-Centered Research (PCR) division boasts a distinctive blend of scientific disciplines such as health sciences, psychometrics, epidemiology, and psychology. Our efforts have effectively identified and addressed unmet clinical needs, evaluated the burden of illness, and investigated patient outcomes, preferences, and adherence, thereby supporting promotional and labeling claims on an international stage.
Your Role:
As a Research Scientist, you will act as an independent Principal Investigator (PI), taking on both scientific and strategic responsibilities for multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) studies. Your role will include delegating project management duties to junior scientific staff while leading a diverse project portfolio. Your innovative contributions will ensure high-caliber scientific outputs and directly impact sales objectives and client development. This position is fully remote and home-based in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Scientific Leadership
Conduct and lead high-quality scientific studies, sharing findings through peer-reviewed publications and at industry conferences.
Guide team members scientifically, enhancing the delivery of preference methods across the organization.
Strategic Client Engagement
Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Develop tailored scientific methods and plans that align with client objectives.
Assist clients in preparing for and attending regulatory meetings as needed.
Business Development
Generate new proposal leads and manage the proposal creation process.
Close sales and drive business growth.
Project Oversight
Ensure adherence to client timelines and maintain project budgets.
PCR Operations Support
Oversee mid-level scientific staff and contribute to their professional development.
Develop and deliver internal scientific training sessions.
Participate in recruitment efforts including screening and interviewing candidates.
Comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and corporate requirements.
Actively champion new product innovations and scientific advancements.
Qualifications and Skills:
PhD in a scientific discipline with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 5-7 years of experience.
Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; knowledge of SAS or similar data analysis tools is a plus.
In-depth understanding of health outcomes research and patient preference methodologies, with familiarity in both historical and current literature.
Advanced knowledge of relevant methodologies and statistical analysis.
Extensive experience in the practical application of research.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in a scientific context.
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Proven skills in project management and effective delegation.
Capacity to manage and cultivate client relationships effectively.
Team-oriented individual with the ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently.
Desired Attributes:
Comprehensive knowledge of preference elicitation techniques like discrete choice experiments (DCE), best-worst scaling (BWS), and swing weighting.
Awareness of relevant regulatory frameworks and guidelines.
Understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape.
Ability to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects in both financial and volume metrics.
Demonstrated capacity to mentor junior staff and provide guidance.
Exceptional ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
