Our comprehensive approach includes screening, assessment, intake, treatment, referrals, psychiatric evaluations, group therapy, family interventions, community consultations, aftercare, and follow-up support.

In this role, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality care to our clients. You’ll be responsible for conducting screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic assessments, alongside medication management and prescription services. Your work will contribute to the treatment team’s goals and the personalized care plans of our clients. You’ll play a critical role in stabilizing individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges, while also ensuring an environment that fosters healthy interpersonal behaviors.

    Work Hours:
Expect to maintain a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, generally between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM. Flexibility is key, as your hours may adjust based on client and program demands. In inclement weather, you may be required to extend your service beyond normal hours.

    Key Responsibilities:
The Outpatient Unit is focused on delivering thorough screening, assessment, intake, and intervention services for individuals showing symptoms of substance abuse or psychiatric disorders within North Carolina’s Eastern Region. You will engage with a diverse population, working with both adults and children from all walks of life.

    1. Conduct thorough patient histories and implement appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
    2. Oversee medication evaluations, management, and prescriptions.
    3. Perform diagnostic assessments and intakes.
    4. Communicate effectively with referral agencies about potential patients.
    5. Collaborate with fellow treatment staff to discuss observations and treatment interventions.
    6. Provide first aid, CPR, or emergency interventions as necessary.
    7. Be prepared to engage in after-hours duties during disasters or emergencies, as directed by your supervisor.

    Documentation Responsibilities:
You will ensure that all pertinent medical and social information is recorded timely for each patient upon admission, which includes medical records, progress notes, aftercare plans, and discharge summaries. You will document any unusual or complex patient conditions and non-routine activities.

    Additional Duties:

    • Participate in training sessions, staff meetings, and team-building exercises.
    • Serve as a supportive role model for clients and colleagues, reinforcing program rules and maintaining a therapeutic relationship with all individuals served.
    • Join clinical staffing discussions to further enhance your professional development and contribute to team efforts.

Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals in need by providing compassionate, effective outpatient services that empower our clients toward recovery and wellness.
