As a Principal Pre-Sales Solution Architect, you’ll collaborate extensively with our sales team and various internal stakeholders to deliver customized solutions that meet specific customer needs. Your role will involve translating intricate technical concepts into captivating value propositions, ensuring alignment with our clients’ business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage with Customers: Embody and promote Tyk’s values while connecting with customers through meetings, workshops, and discovery sessions to gather insights and refine solution designs. Lead sales engineering projects throughout the deal lifecycle, facilitating clear communication among team members and guiding clients on effective API implementation using Tyk’s offerings.
Expertise in Technical Solutions: Partner with sales teams to identify customer challenges and design tailored solutions that align with their strategic goals. Craft detailed technical proposals, including architecture diagrams and implementation plans, while maintaining comprehensive architecture documentation. Conduct market analysis to elucidate Tyk’s competitive advantages.
Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work alongside product management, engineering, and delivery teams to validate the feasibility and scalability of proposed solutions. Provide feedback from the field to guide product development, and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to enhance alignment with Tyk’s value proposition. Play a role in planning events to attract potential clients and partners.
Lead RFP/RFI Responses: Spearhead the technical responses to RFPs and RFIs to ensure timely, accurate, and compelling submissions, working with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information.
Maintain Technical Documentation: Develop and manage technical documentation, including solution briefs and case studies, ensuring they meet company standards and remain current.
Commit to Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies while enhancing your technical knowledge through ongoing training and active participation in professional communities.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re on the hunt for a seasoned Architect with experience in an equivalent Pre-Sales position such as Sales Engineer or Solution Consultant. The ideal candidate will have:
- A proven history of delivering successful technical solutions to enterprise-level clients.
- Familiarity with open-source technologies.
- A track record of achieving sales targets and collaborating effectively with sales, product, and marketing teams.
- Strong technical skills including proficiency in languages like Golang, Java, and Python, as well as experience with application development, cloud solutions, and technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux.
- Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
