Join our dynamic team as we seek two freelance Mid-Level Cloud Operations Engineers to bolster our growing infrastructure and application deployment needs within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. This is an exciting opportunity to work remotely, with a competitive daily rate ranging from £200 to £400, for an initial duration of 2 months. We are looking for candidates who can start immediately.

In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, leveraging your extensive hands-on experience with Azure services. A robust understanding of operational best practices will be essential, along with familiarity with .NET desktop applications. If you have previous experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), that will be a strong advantage.

Core Responsibilities:

• Oversee and enhance cloud-based infrastructure and services primarily within Microsoft Azure.
• Implement and manage cloud environments tailored for .NET desktop application development and deployment.
• Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud operations to ensure performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide support for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments (preferred but not essential).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including developers, QA professionals, and project managers, within an Agile/SCRUM framework.
• Assist in the automation of operational processes and manage updates through CI/CD pipelines.
• Document configurations, processes, and runbooks to facilitate ongoing operations and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in cloud operations, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure.
• In-depth expertise in Azure, including resource management, networking, identity, monitoring, and automation.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with deploying and supporting .NET desktop applications in cloud settings.
• Experience in an SDLC/SCRUM or Agile development environment.
• Proven capabilities in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, ARM templates, Azure CLI, or Bicep).
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
