This full-time role requires flexibility to work within various 8-hour shift schedules from Monday to Friday, during our operational hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs. Your workplace will be at our headquarters located at 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN, 55344.
As part of our onboarding process, you will benefit from a week of comprehensive on-the-job training tailored to fit your schedule, taking place onsite during your first week.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Actively pursuing collections on past due invoices.
- Engaging professionally with clients to expedite invoice payments.
- Analyzing the causes behind overdue invoices.
- Collaborating with internal departments (such as Billing and Client Management) to resolve payment issues.
- Partnering with Cash Applications, Billing, and Client Management teams.
- Investigating and rectifying collection discrepancies and problems.
- Reconciliation of payment applications per customer instructions.
- Maintaining effective communication with both internal business users and clients.
- Providing aging reports and other data as requested.
- Working independently while seeking guidance when needed and contributing to team efforts.
- Adhering to department SLA standards.
- Monitoring internal and external mailboxes for the Accounts Receivable Solutions Team.
- Offering support to team members as needed.
- Training team members in your area of expertise, particularly in collection portfolios.
- Resolving disputes efficiently.
- Keeping precise records of collection efforts.
- Collaborating with billing, cash application, sales, finance, and legal teams.
- Preparing reports on collection status and risk exposure.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Identifying process enhancements within the current collections platforms and procedures.
- Assisting in the upkeep of collection protocols.
- Documenting and maintaining necessary internal controls.
- Striving to improve customer satisfaction by addressing issues professionally.
- Proposing process improvements to management.
- Updating management on changes to business-specific processes that may affect procedural documentation.

Essential Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma / GED.
- A minimum age of 18 years.
- At least 1 year of Business-to-Business collection experience.
- Experience in contacting business clients via phone and email for overdue accounts.
- Proficient in a metrics-driven environment.
- Familiarity with collections, primarily through phone and email.
- Experience in payment reconciliation.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables, data sorting, and reconciliation).
- Willingness to work onsite twice a month at our Eden Prairie headquarters, with full-time onsite availability during training.
- Availability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, within our standard business hours. Flexibility for occasional overtime may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with GetPaid or PeopleSoft Collection Software.
- Familiarity with various Collection Software tools.
- Experience with accounting software.
- Background in large-scale ERP environments.
- Prior work experience in a global organization.
- Knowledge of Accounting Bad Debt Reserve policies.
Remote Work Requirements:
- Residence within 2 hours of Eden Prairie, MN, 55344.
- Ability to secure all company-sensitive documents.
- Establishing a dedicated workspace that ensures privacy and security.
- Access to a high-speed internet connection approved by UnitedHealth Group or having existing reliable high-speed internet service.

The salary range for this position is $49,300 to $96,400 annually, contingent upon full-time employment. Compensation varies based on factors such as local labor market rates, educational background, work experience, and certifications.
