    Burgos Group invites applications for the role of Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team, supporting a variety of federal construction projects from our offices in New Mexico and New Jersey. This exciting remote position offers the flexibility of working from home with a minimum travel commitment of 25% to visit job sites and attend meetings as necessary.

    In this role, you will play a critical part in assisting the Project Manager throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. Your responsibilities will encompass planning, scheduling, and coordinating all project phases, building relationships with subcontractors, overseeing cost accounting and billing processes, and serving as a liaison among owners, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) and scheduling software (Primavera or MS Project) is essential, and experience with federal contracting is highly preferred.

    Your Key Responsibilities:

    • Support the project development process from inception to completion, collaborating effectively with team members.

    • Facilitate team and client meetings with strong communication skills.

    • Maintain proactive communication regarding project status with the Project Team.

    • Convey critical project information to the Project Manager and key stakeholders.

    • Adhere to and help enforce standard operating procedures and policies.

    • Oversee daily operational aspects of the project, focusing on scope management and client interaction.

    • Track project milestones, deliverables, resource allocation, and budget adherence.

    • Act as the primary contact for system changes and enhancements post-project implementation, ensuring comprehensive tracking of updates.

    • Identify and coordinate necessary resources to drive project success and efficient communication with team members.

    • Effectively manage multiple projects concurrently.

    • Proactively follow up with clients regularly until any issues are resolved.

    • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.

    • Demonstrable experience in estimating and managing both self-performed and subcontractor work activities.

    • Comprehensive understanding of standard commercial construction practices is required.

    • Familiarity with scheduling software like Microsoft Project is necessary.

    • Capability to interpret construction plans and drawings.

    • At least 2 years of construction work experience, with a willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

    • Candidates must successfully pass a Federal background check and hold U.S. citizenship.

    This position is designed as a TIER 2 position under the Title 22: Employment Code of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation, where preference will be given to individuals as stipulated in Section 22-2-4(B).

    Compensation: Annual salary ranges from $55,000 to $75,000.
